Job Description:

Our client, a successful multi-franchise-approved dealer group, is seeking a New Car Sales Manager to lead the new vehicle sales operation at its Cheltenham dealership. This is a hands-on leadership role for an ambitious automotive professional who can inspire a team, deliver exceptional customer service and drive profitable sales performance.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm, including one weekday off and one 7:00pm late shift per week; Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm; and Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm on a rota. This New Car Sales Manager position offers an excellent opportunity to progress within a respected automotive business.

Duties of a Car Sales Manager:

• In this New Car Sales Manager role, lead, motivate and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
• Drive new vehicle sales while maintaining exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
• Manage the complete sales process from enquiry through to delivery, maximising conversion rates.
• Monitor stock levels, vehicle preparation and showroom merchandising standards.
• Deliver strong finance and insurance performance and maximise profitability.
• Recruit, coach and develop team members to support their progression.
• Build local community relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Produce accurate reports and ensure compliance with manufacturer and company standards.
• Provide visible, hands-on leadership on the showroom floor and lead by example.

Requirements:

• Recent or current franchise-approved dealership experience as a New Car Sales Manager is desirable but not essential.
• Experienced Business Managers or Sales Controllers seeking career progression will also be considered.
• A self-motivated, adaptable and ambitious approach, with the ability to create a high-performing team culture.
• A strong commitment to customer satisfaction and leading from the front.
• A full UK driving licence with minimal points.
• You should live in Cheltenham or within a reasonable commuting distance.
