Commercial Manager

• Flexible on location - ideally within 45 minutes of the Rugby, Coventry, Lutterworth, Northampton, Market Harborough, South Leicestershire region. 
• Salary TBC - role created due to a retirement, we expect £60,000 - £75,000 but this is a guide at this stage

Are you seeking the chance to be a senior leader in a profitable, niche logistics and transport business with a strong EBITDA? This is an opportunity to join an established and profitable logistics and warehousing business at an important stage of its growth. You will take a hands-on lead in winning new business, growing existing accounts, improving pricing and margins and helping develop the commercial strategy to take the business from £15m to £20m+ turnover.

What we are looking for in this Commercial Manager – Future Commercial Director job

• Relationship building experience in the logistics, transport and warehousing space. This business is highly successful at building long term relationships with large blue chip clients
• So we are flexible on your level / experience BUT you need to have a strong background in logistics, transport, 3PL, warehousing, distribution or a closely related sector and be really good at building relationships in a consultative way with large businesses 
• Strong understanding of logistics pricing, contracts, tenders and commercial negotiations (or be very keen to learn)
• Someone who understands that profitable growth matters more than turnover for turnover's sake
