A leading international law firm with a market-leading insurance practice is seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its specialist Credit Hire team. The team acts for a wide range of insurer and corporate clients, delivering end-to-end dispute resolution across credit hire and motor claims. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and data-led claims strategy, the firm offers an excellent platform for lawyers looking to specialise in this evolving area of litigation.

This role goes beyond a traditional claims handling position, offering the opportunity to become involved in strategic decision-making and delivering commercially focused legal solutions.


Your new role

You will manage your own caseload of litigated credit hire and vehicle damage claims, working within a high-performing team focused on delivering strong outcomes for insurer clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Handling a caseload of mixed-value litigated credit hire and motor damage matters (small claims through to multi-track)
• Managing claims proactively from instruction through to resolution
• Reviewing liability, indemnity and associated losses (including PI and diminution claims)
• Delivering high-quality legal advice in line with client service standards and commercial expectations
• Identifying and managing risk, compliance and procedural issues
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients and maintaining strong relationships
• Supporting wider team performance, knowledge sharing and collaboration
• Contributing to business development and client initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 2 years recent credit hire experience (within the last 5 years)
• Experience handling litigated motor claims, ideally with exposure to credit hire
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and meet performance targets
• Strong analytical skills and ability to assess evidence and develop legal arguments
• Good understanding of litigation procedures and court processes
• Commercial awareness and focus on client outcomes
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, team-oriented approach
