About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Field Service Engineer to carry out the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of EV charging infrastructure across Ireland.
You will be a competent electrician with strong knowledge of electrical systems, excellent fault-finding abilities and the confidence to work independently across a range of customer and project sites.
Requirements
Essential:
FETAC / QQI Level 6 qualification in Electrical Installation, or a recognised equivalent qualification such as City & Guilds or an equivalent European standard.
Practical electrical experience with a strong understanding of Irish electrical regulations, particularly I.S. 10101.
Valid SafePass or equivalent.
Proven experience in electrical installation, ideally within EV charging, renewable energy or a related sector.
Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical and software-related faults.
Full, clean Category B driving licence.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
Desirable:
Experience working with DC EV chargers from 50kW to 400kW+.
QQI Level 6 Electrical Testing & Verification.
Safe Electric Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, maintain and repair EV charging stations across Ireland.
Follow electrical designs, cable calculations, installation guides and site-specific work instructions.
Diagnose electrical, software and charger-related faults and implement effective solutions.
Complete Electrical Installation Certificates and maintain accurate digital records of work completed.
Liaise with supervisors, project teams and other engineers to provide updates and resolve technical issues.
Carry out routine and preventative maintenance to support charger reliability and uptime.
Follow all relevant health, safety and electrical regulations and site-specific programmes of work.
Prepare reports detailing work completed, issues identified and solutions implemented.
Support project teams and maintenance contracts as required.
Participate in technical training and share best practice with the wider engineering team.
