Job Description:

Environmental & Sustainability Manager – Graduate Trainee

Dover |£28,000 per annum |Full‑time & On Site| Immediate Start

Application Closing Date: Friday 20th November 2026

Your Opportunity

Be the first to shape our environmental and sustainability agenda in a brand-new role created to lead Multipanel UK's response to some of the biggest regulatory and environmental challenges facing UK manufacturing today.

From EU and UK Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) compliance, to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Packaging Waste Regulations (PPWR), to the development of a first-of-its-kind end-of-life recycling scheme for our Aluminium Composite Panels, this role puts you at the centre of a genuinely new function within the business.

As our Graduate Trainee Environmental & Sustainability Manager, you will work closely with our Commercial Director and colleagues across procurement, production, and sales, turning complex legislation into practical action. This is a rare opportunity for a graduate to build something from the ground up and see your work shape our environmental credentials and commercial success.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Supporting compliance with EU and UK CBAM regulations, including supplier engagement and carbon reporting.
• Helping to own our EPR and PPWR compliance programme, from data collection to registration and reporting.
• Playing a key role in developing our new ACP end-of-life recycling scheme, from take-back programme design to recycling partner relationships.
• Contributing to our carbon footprint baseline, reduction initiatives, and pursuit of ISO 14001 and other accreditations.
• Researching and horizon-scanning emerging environmental legislation, such as the EU Digital Product Passport.
• Engaging with regulators, industry bodies, and trade associations to represent Multipanel UK's interests.

• No prior experience of environmental regulation is needed. However, we do expect candidates to come to interview with a basic understanding of what CBAM, EPR, PPWR and ISO 14001 are, and why they matter to a UK manufacturer exporting to Europe.

• Support to build your knowledge in environmental compliance, sustainability reporting, and regulatory frameworks.
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays (rising with service).
