We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established compliance and building services specialist that delivers critical safety and maintenance solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, our client is seeking an experienced Fire Damper Testing & Installation Engineer to join their London-based operations team.

The Role
As a Fire Damper Testing & Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the inspection, testing, installation, maintenance, and reporting of fire and smoke dampers within ventilation systems. You will ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with current legislation, British Standards, and industry best practice.
This is a field-based role requiring a high level of technical competence, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct fire damper inspections and operational testing in accordance with BS9999 and industry best practice.
Verify damper accessibility, condition, operation, and compliance.
Inspect fusible links, actuators, retaining angles, and associated components.
Identify defects and non-compliant installations and recommend remedial actions.
Capture photographic evidence and maintain accurate asset records.
