Job Description:
Fire & Security Operations Manager – Bromsgrove - £55,000We are currently working with a fire, life safety and security specialist business who provide a wide range of service, maintenance, remedial, small works and project support across customer contracts throughout the Midlands and South-West. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an Operations Manager to join their team based from Bromsgrove.
Salary Package:
- £50,000 - £55,000
- Bonus scheme
- Car allowance or vehicle provided
- 22 days’ annual leave & 8 days bank
- Hybrid working: 3 days office and 2 days home / field
- Official working hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch
Area Of Cover:
- Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, covering the Midlands and South-West region.
Duties:
- Overseeing planned, reactive, remedial, small works and project activity across customer contracts
- Ensuring service delivery meets best practice standards and contractual KPIs
- First-line management of field-based service engineers and coordination of sub-contractor activity
- Managing incoming reactive, remedial and small works calls to ensure engineering attendance meets contractual KPIs
- Producing quotations and supporting the delivery of resulting works in collaboration with senior operational management
- Coordinating specialist sub-contractor works
- Ensuring health and safety policies and procedures are followed across all areas of responsibility
- Supporting compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental management systems
- Completing post-inspections on a sample of calls to audit completion standards and support high levels of engineer performance
- Providing holiday cover for the Regional General Manager where required

Experience Required:Essential:
- Strong technical knowledge of fire, life safety and security systems, including fire alarms, AOV, automatic doors, warden call, door entry, access control and CCTV systems.
- Hands-on experience working with engineering teams.
- Good knowledge of quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Competent IT skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Previous management experience would be advantageous.
- Experience using engineering planning software to dispatch and schedule calls would be desirable.
