An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a well-established and expanding Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy in Cardiff.

This role is ideal for a recent Civil Engineering graduate looking to gain hands-on experience, develop technical expertise and build a long-term career within a supportive and ambitious business. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers on a diverse range of infrastructure and development projects while benefiting from structured training and mentorship.

The Role

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will become part of a collaborative team delivering innovative engineering solutions across a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

You’ll gain exposure to all stages of project delivery, from initial design through to construction, providing an excellent platform to develop your technical and professional skills.

This position offers a clear pathway towards professional chartership and long-term career progression within a growing consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and delivery of civil engineering projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings and technical reports.
• Support the design of highways, drainage and infrastructure schemes.
• Work closely with senior engineers and project teams on a variety of developments.
• Attend site visits, inspections and project meetings.
• Contribute to project delivery from concept design through to completion.
• Develop your technical knowledge through practical project experience and ongoing training.

About You

To be considered for this Graduate Civil Engineer position, you should have:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A genuine interest in civil engineering design and infrastructure projects.
• The ambition to work towards Chartered Engineer status.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Previous industry placement experience or internship experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

Location
