Job Description:

Hydraulics and Support Technician

My client are seeking a technically skilled and hands-on Hydraulics and Support Technician to join the high-performance engineering team based in Southampton. This role combines workshop-based hydraulic and mechanical assembly work with regular international travel .

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical or technical trade background who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to develop their skills across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, service and test hydraulic manifolds and cylinders.
• Carry out mechanical daggerboard case fit-outs, installations and assembly work.
• Undertake mechanical winch and drivetrain installations.
• Maintain build documentation, quality records and testing procedures.
• Support hydraulic installations on new boats, components and upgrade packages.
• Manage stock, tooling and materials.
• Assist with general workshop and technical department activities as required.

Skills and Experience

• Background in mechanics, fitting, machining, hydraulics, composites or a related technical trade.
• Strong practical skills using tools, machinery and hands-on assembly or repair techniques.
• Comfortable using computer systems and software.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible and able to travel internationally when required.
