Internal Sales Executive

Cardiff | £30,000 – £33,000 + Annual Profit Share Bonus
Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm | Office-Based

A great opportunity for an experienced Internal Sales Executive to join a successful specialist distributor of industrial automation and electrical control products in Cardiff.

You’ll take ownership of an established portfolio of customers, building strong long-term relationships, preparing quotations and identifying opportunities to develop and grow existing accounts.

The Role

As an Internal Sales Executive, you will:

• Manage and develop an established portfolio of customer accounts.

• Build strong, long-term relationships through regular customer contact.

• Handle incoming enquiries and prepare quotations.

• Follow up quotations and commercial opportunities.

• Provide product guidance and help customers identify suitable solutions.

• Identify opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts.

• Work closely with suppliers, external sales and other internal teams.

• Maintain accurate customer and CRM records.

This is a relationship-led sales role rather than simply an order-processing position. You’ll have ownership of your customer base and the opportunity to play an important part in developing sales across the business.

About You

We’re looking for someone with previous experience in internal sales, account management or B2B customer development, ideally within a wholesale, distribution, engineering or technical environment.

You should have:

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• A proactive and commercially minded approach.

• Confidence dealing with customers by phone and email.

• The ability to spot opportunities to develop existing accounts.

• Good organisation and attention to detail.

• An interest in learning a technical product range.

• A positive, team-focused approach.

Experience within electrical wholesale, industrial automation, engineering distribution or technical sales would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
