Junior Quality Auditor

£29,000 - £33,000 + Training + Benefits + progression

On offer is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business where you will work closely with the Technical Manager to ensure quality, food safety and compliance standards are consistently maintained across the site. You will be involved in internal auditing, HACCP, microbiological testing, traceability and supporting both internal and external audits.

This varied role will give you the opportunity to work across the factory, carrying out daily compliance checks, investigating non-conformances and customer complaints, maintaining quality documentation and supporting continuous improvement across the business.

This role would suit someone from a production or manufacturing environment who is looking to join a well-established company offering full training and opportunities to go through courses to develop your technical skills and career.

The Role:

• Supporting the Technical Manager with the company's quality assurance and food safety objectives
• Carrying out daily compliance checks across factory departments and reporting non-conformances
• Conducting internal audits covering GMP, HACCP, BRC, hygiene, maintenance, factory fabric and quality systems
• Monitoring temperatures, air temperatures, data loggers and other quality control checks
• Carrying out pre-operation hygiene inspections across the abattoir and boning hall
• Collecting and coordinating microbiological samples, environmental swabs and meat samples for laboratory testing
• Mon - Fri (6 am - 3.30 pm)

• Background in a production or manufacturing environment or similar
• Looking for a full-time role
• Commutable to York
