About the Team

The Learning and Development Team is part of the high-performing Benefits and Homelessness Prevention Service. We are committed to helping residents face their challenges while supporting our staff to perform to the highest standards.

The demand is high: Hackney has one of the highest Housing Benefit caseloads in London and handles nearly 4,000 homelessness approaches a year. To meet this, our service is innovative, agile, and constantly improving.

The Role: An Exceptional Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Learning and Development Officer to join our team.
You will be instrumental in delivering and designing training for the Benefits and Housing Needs, Customer Services, and Revenues teams. You'll devise and create comprehensive training programs covering:

• System training
• Legislative and policy changes
• Process and interpersonal skills
  
  

Beyond training, you will have a demonstrable talent for creating high-impact resources-manuals, workbooks, and innovative support tools-to accelerate onboarding and unlock the full potential of the system.



What you will bring:

• A track record of successful outcomes in training/learning and development.
• High-level knowledge of Housing Benefit and/or Homelessness Reduction and Prevention.
• A proven track record of designing course content to meet specific objectives.
• The ability to identify training and development needs through analysis and stakeholder consultation.
• You must be self-motivated, innovative, and creative, with the ability to carry out your own research to develop and evaluate training courses.
• Excellent communication, customer service, time management, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• A collaborative approach with the ability to influence and advise at all levels.
• Proficiency in Google applications and enthusiasm for learning new systems.
