Manufacturing/Production Shift Manager

4 on 4 off - 12-hour shifts - Days & Nights

Liverpool

Up to £41,000

We are looking for a motivated Shift Manager to join a market leading company within their field. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of production within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team. The position will appeal to a strong manager looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description:

• Lead and manage the shift, following operational requirements and ensuring a safe, efficient working environment.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, changeover times and efficiency KPIs are consistently achieved.
• Allocate and delegate work within the packing area, manage staff rotation and ensure employees are trained and signed off against the training matrix.
• Ensure production paperwork, weights, codes, checks and other required documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, workwear, equipment condition and compliance with company procedures.
• Minimise waste and drive continuous improvement through Lean initiatives, workshops and improved working practices.
• Manage and develop Team Leaders and staff, including appraisals, performance management, return-to-work meetings and disciplinary processes, while ensuring effective shift handovers.
