Job Description:

The Mobile Plant Engineer role is ideally suited for skilled professionals with experience in HGV or vehicle maintenance, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics. Our client values proactive, customer-focused Mobile Plant Engineers committed to operational excellence.

Duties:

• Service, inspect, and repair plant equipment including diggers, dumpers, telehandlers, trailers, pallet trucks, and pumps
• Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure fleet reliability
• Perform refurbishments and replacements as needed
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and quality guidelines
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification
• Experience as an HGV or Plant Technician
• Full UK driving licence
• Own tools (specialist tools provided by the company)
• Proactive approach with a focus on customer service and quality
• Demonstrable experience in hydraulic and electrical systems is advantageous
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations within plant and fleet maintenance
