💰 £52,000 - £55,000 per annum 
🕒 Rotating Shifts: 5:00am – 2:00pm | 1:00pm – 10:00pm | 9:00pm – 6:00am
📄 Full-Time | Permanent

The OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business based in Tipton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work within a fast-paced production environment, playing a key role in maintaining and improving manufacturing and packaging equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities
  
  
• Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns
  
  
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  
  
• Maintain and repair pumps, conveyors, fillers, cookers, and packaging machinery
  
  
• Undertake PLC fault finding (programming experience not required)
  
  
• Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades
  
  
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP, and GMP standards
  
  
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maximise plant performance
  
  

What We're Looking ForEssential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent Engineering qualification
  
  
• Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment
  
  
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities
  
  
• Experience working on high-speed production or packaging lines
  
  
• Ability to work a rotating shift pattern
  
  

Desirable Skills & Experience

• PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens or Allen Bradley)
  
  
• 18th Edition qualification
  
  
• Experience using CMMS systems
  
  
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
