Platform Engineer

Platform Engineer – Azure | HealthTech
Up to £90,000 | London | Hybrid – 2 days per week
Want to work on cloud infrastructure that supports technology with a genuine impact on people's health?
This is an opportunity to join a growing HealthTech business that's continuing to invest in its engineering capability and the Azure platform behind its products.
They're hiring a Platform Engineer to sit at the intersection of Software Engineering and Infrastructure, taking real ownership of the cloud environment and helping engineers build, deploy and run software securely and reliably.
It's not a role where you'll simply inherit a finished platform and keep it running.
There's already strong Platform Engineering expertise in the business, but they want to build more depth into the team, reduce reliance on individual engineers and continue improving how their cloud infrastructure is designed and delivered.
What you'll get involved in
You'll work across the Azure platform, including:
You'll have the opportunity to influence how the platform evolves rather than simply following an established blueprint.
Your background
You'll likely already be working as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer, with strong experience across:
Experience with Kubernetes/AKS would be particularly useful.
Azure DevOps, Entra ID, cloud security, observability, cost optimisation or relevant Azure/Kubernetes certifications would all add value, but you don't need to tick every box.
More important is that you're comfortable taking ownership, solving problems and working closely with both Infrastructure and Software Engineering teams.
Why consider it?
There's a combination here that isn't always easy to find in Platform Engineering roles: modern cloud technology, genuine technical influence and a product with a meaningful purpose.
You'll be helping shape the infrastructure behind technology designed to make a difference to people's health, while joining a business that's actively investing in its engineering capability.
