Project Director – Bridges & Roads Location: Bahrain
Package: BHD 5,500 total monthly package + flights + medical & Schooling

We are seeking a sharp Project Director to lead a major bridges and roads project just awarded in Manama - Bahrain. This client has 50 plus years success in this region. Led by an incredibly dynamic and forward thinking management team.

Leadership opportunity for a technically strong and commercially astute civil engineer. Our client will only look at Main Contractors individuals that have clear self-delivery experience. They will not look at clients and consultants. 


The Role
The Project Director will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of bridges and roads projects, providing leadership across construction, engineering, commercial, planning, HSE and project operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Overall leadership and delivery of major bridges and roads projects.
• Managing project teams, subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Motivate, mentor and engage your team 
• Driving program, cost, quality and safety 
• Ensuring effective self-delivery of bridge structures, resources and construction methodologies
• Managing project risk and resolving challenges
• Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships

Candidate Requirements:

• Civil Engineering degree from a recognized Western university.
• Experience as a Project Director / Senior Project Manager on major bridges, roads & infrastructure projects 
• FIDIC contract experience desired if not then NEC is key 
• Proven experience on bridges is essential.
• Strong commercial, contractual and program management 
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Chartered status is highly desirable.
• Middle East experience is desired. However if you have delivered a Major Bridge in the UK and researched Bahrain this is worth a conversation
