Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Blackburn, commutable from: Darwen, Accrington, Preston, Chorley, Clitheroe, Bolton, Burnley, Haslingden, Bacup, Fulwood & all surrounding areas

Are you an experienced Quality Engineer with a background in engineering or manufacturing, looking to take ownership of quality systems and drive continuous improvement within a highly technical environment?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised engineering organisation where product quality, safety and reliability are at the heart of everything they do. You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, working closely with production, engineering, suppliers and senior management to identify issues and deliver sustainable improvements.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of internal and supplier audits, external certification activity, CAPA, non-conformances and process improvement projects, while gaining further training in areas such as internal auditing and quality management.

The organisation operates within a specialist, safety-critical manufacturing sector, designing and producing technically advanced products used by customers around the world.

This position would suit a Quality Engineer from a manufacturing or engineering background looking to develop their career within a technically advanced manufacturing environment.

The Role:

• Manage and improve the Quality Management System
• Lead internal, supplier and external audits, driving corrective actions to closure
• Lead quality improvement and process capability projects across the site

The Candidate:

• Previous experience working as a Quality Engineer for an engineering or manufacturing business
• Proactive, results-driven and passionate about continuous improvement
• Strong knowledge of QMS, ISO 9001 & auditing
