Job Description:

Job Title: Senior Android Software Engineer

Location: Manchester, UK (Hybrid)

Join a global engineering hub in Manchester, building end-to-end travel experiences used by tens of millions of active Android users daily. You will work in a cross-functional squad alongside Product, Design, Data, and Backend Engineers to design, test, and ship high-impact native mobile features.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable native Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Implement A/B tests and product experiments to drive user engagement and conversion.
• Maintain clean architecture (MVVM/MVI) and ensure high performance across varied devices.
• Write robust unit/UI tests and participate in technical design and code reviews.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into seamless mobile features.

• Technical Stack: Strong commercial experience with Kotlin, Jetpack components, Jetpack Compose, and Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger).
• Architecture & Patterns: Deep knowledge of MVVM/Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and Kotlin Coroutines/Flow.
• Testing & APIs: Hands-on experience with unit/UI testing (JUnit, Mockk, Espresso) and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Scale: Background building high-traffic, production-grade consumer mobile applications.
