Are you a Senior Electrical Engineer looking for your next permanent opportunity in the UK water sector?
With AMP8 driving one of the busiest periods the industry has seen, we're recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join an established engineering business delivering major water and wastewater projects across the UK.

You'll be working on projects covering the feasibility, design, construction and commissioning of water and wastewater infrastructure, helping to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of treatment systems across the UK.
You'll be responsible for:
- Preparing and reviewing electrical engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Working across Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, cabling, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs and SCADA.
- Working with both new technologies and existing legacy electrical installations.
- Producing and reviewing technical specifications and schedules for procurement activities.
- Reviewing supplier tender bids and technical submissions.
- Supervising and mentoring Graduates and Engineers, supporting their technical development and helping them build their knowledge and skills.
- Understanding, applying and contributing to electrical design standards, including relevant water industry and WIMES standards.
- Positively engaging with clients, building strong relationships and supporting them to achieve their project objectives.

We're looking for Senior Electrical Engineers with:
- Significant electrical engineering experience within the UK water industry.
- A Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong experience across electrical systems including LV distribution, MCCs, cabling, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs and SCADA.
- Experience preparing and reviewing electrical engineering designs for water or wastewater treatment projects.
- Experience producing technical specifications and schedules and reviewing supplier technical submissions.
- Strong knowledge of water industry design standards and WIMES standards.
- Experience supervising, mentoring or developing Graduate and Engineer-level staff.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status through a relevant professional institution, or equivalent experience.
- A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across the operational region.
