Job Description:

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next major challenge? I am currently seeking a highly commercial and driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a leading role on a flagship, high-value Data Centre project in West London.

West London is one of the world's most critical data hubs. By joining our team, you will be at the forefront of mission-critical construction, working with top main contractor to deliver a state-of-the-art facility that will power the next generation of digital infrastructure.

The Role

As a Senior QS, you will be the commercial lead for key packages on this fast-paced, complex project. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and Project Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Taking full commercial ownership of major procurement packages

• Managing the end-to-end commercial life-cycle, from procurement and sub-contractor management to final accounts.

• Detailed cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

• Identifying and mitigating commercial risks, whilst maximising project margins.

• Administering standard forms of contract (JCT / NEC) and expertly managing variations and early warning notices.

• Mentoring and guiding junior members of the commercial team.

• Building strong, collaborative relationships with the client, design teams, and supply chain partners.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to bring a sharp commercial mind and a proven track record of delivering major projects. We are looking for:

• Experience: Previous experience as a Senior QS or an established QS ready to step up. Experience on Data Centres, Mission Critical facilities would be ideal, or a strong general main contracting background.

• Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management. RICS membership (MRICS) is an advantage but not essential.

• Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC forms of contract.

• Skills: Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. You must be comfortable managing multi-million-pound packages in a high-pressure, fast-tracked environment.
