Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + Package

Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

A specialist refurbishment and regeneration contractor delivering a wide range of building safety and external envelope projects is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial team. The business operates across London, Hertfordshire and the wider Home Counties, delivering high-quality schemes for Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Private Developers and Landlords.

Due to a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth in cladding remediation and façade improvement projects, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with proven external wall and recladding experience.

The Role

You will take full commercial responsibility for multiple live projects, ensuring successful financial delivery while working closely with operational teams and clients.

Core responsibilities include:

• Commercial management of live projects from start to final account
• Cost planning, forecasting and budget control
• Subcontract procurement and package management
• Valuations, applications for payment and cash flow
• Variations, change control and compensation events
• Contract administration (JCT)
• Monthly reporting and CVRs
• Final account negotiations

Project Exposure

You will be working across a diverse range of refurbishment and compliance-led schemes including:

• Cladding and façade remediation works
• External Wall System (EWS) upgrades and renewals
• Social housing refurbishment projects
• Building safety and compliance programmes
• Roofing and external envelope replacement schemes
• Retrofit and energy efficiency improvements

Candidate Profile

• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
• Strong background as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor or specialist subcontractor environment
• Essential experience in cladding / façade remediation projects
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts
• Confident managing multiple live projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and commercial negotiation skills
• Experience with housing associations or local authority clients desirable
