Job Description:
Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is on the lookout for a dedicated Supply Chain Planning Manager to join their team in fareham, Hampshire. As the business transitions to a new state-of-the-art facility, this role offers the opportunity to be part of an exciting transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the integrated, intelligent and agile supply chain organization focusing on the full SIOP horizon, including execution (0-36 months).
- Managing a team of Network Schedulers responsible for a value stream in the 0-3 months window and collaborating with Buyers, Material Planners, and Order Managers.
- Balancing demand and supply for the value stream, managing constraints, allocation, prioritisation rules and critical exceptions in the mid-term.
- Creating the consensus supply plan to meet demand on-time and in-full, balancing FG inventory and capacity.
- Managing capacity versus demand, flagging exceptions, and driving solutions in collaboration with operations, warehousing, and procurement.
- Overseeing replenishment strategy across value streams in line with inventory policy, and conducting regular parameter audits.
- Updating FG inventory targets and policies in collaboration with SIOP and business teams.
- Reviewing supply and inventory performance metrics, identifying gaps, and executing improvement action plans.
- Providing relevant information to divisional SIOP meetings and participating in regional business reviews.
- Initiating scenario planning to optimise the plan on service, cash, and costs.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Supply Chain / Operations or Engineering, or significant experience in supply chain management and planning for a global or multi-plant industrial company.
- Proven track record in influencing and delivering results across end-to-end product and supply chain management processes.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage complex material flows across multi-tier manufacturing and distribution networks.
- Experience with Advanced Planning Systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong technical expertise across planning, execution, procurement, and plant operations.
- Ability to build strong partnerships and influence cross-functional stakeholders in sales, finance, product lines, and HR.
- Deep understanding of the impact of supply chain on P&L and working capital.
- Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills with the ability to generate scenarios and communicate outcomes effectively to a non-technical audience.
- CPIM certification is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to different cultures and achieve results in a complex environment.
- Capable of building strong relationships at all levels and challenging the status quo.
