Systems Engineer – Nuclear Hardening
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Systems Engineer based in the Portsmouth area.
This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based.

We’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and a separate Space and Defence division.

The Role:
This role is for a Systems Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.
You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Designing a compliant equipment installation design with associated test plans and compliance evidence.
• All aspects of the system lifecycle from initial design through installation to customer handover
• Identify mitigations and responses to NH and produce NH analysis

The Individual
We’re looking for people who can show:

• Familiarity with Nuclear Hardening standards
• Knowledge of NH analysis, test specifications, test procedures, test setups, and test data
• System-level NH design, development and solutions, including GFE environments and mitigations
• NH Equipment selection
• Practical knowledge of the installation of electrical equipment, including rack installation and compliant cabling practices
• Understanding of the effects of electrical equipment (and cabling) interference, and methods for mitigating interference
• Electrical safety certification
• Exposure to generating test plans for sign-off of electrical equipment installation, preferably with NH experience
• Verification, Validation & integration
