About the role

Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) is seeking a committed, warm and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their inclusive team. You will work closely with teachers and the SEND team to support students’ learning, wellbeing and progress across KS3 and KS4, ensuring every young person can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality in-class support, adapting materials and scaffolding learning for individuals and small groups.
• Deliver targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy and study skills, tracking impact and progress.
• Support students with SEND and additional needs.
• Promote excellent behaviour for learning, following MEA and Trust policies consistently.
• Assist with assessment for learning: feedback, evidence gathering and pupil voice.
• Contribute to planning, resources and classroom routines to create an inclusive environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families, modelling MEA’s values.
• Safeguard the welfare of all students, following safeguarding and child protection procedures.

About you

• Passionate about helping young people succeed, with a student-first mindset.
• Experience working with secondary-age learners in a school or youth setting (preferred).
• Understanding of SEND, differentiation and strategies to remove barriers to learning.
• Calm, flexible and solution-focused, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Literate and numerate to a high standard; confident using IT for learning and record-keeping.

Contract and pay

• Position: Full-time, term-time only (plus inset days).
• Salary: Daily pay rate dependant on experience.
