Job Description:

Our client, a well-established multi-franchise approved car dealership in Cardiff, is seeking an experienced Assistant Service Manager to join their team due to ongoing business expansion. • Basic salary up to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and current earnings
• On-target earnings of approximately £40,000 per year, subject to achieving customer service scores and labour sales targets

Duties as an Assistant Service Manager:

• Assist in managing a busy service department, reporting directly to the Service Manager
• Oversee and motivate a large service team to deliver excellent customer service
• Ensure the efficient operation of the service reception, including customer bookings and needs
• Maximise workshop utilisation and labour sales, contributing to departmental performance
• Support and organise departmental processes and administration
• Work on the front desk as needed, handling customer enquiries and bookings
• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with the team to meet volume throughput targets, which typically include 80 vehicles daily and approximately 7 recoveries per day
• Assist with staff training and ongoing professional development

Requirements for the Assistant Service Manager will include:

• Proven experience as a Senior Service Advisor, Assistant Service Manager, or similar role within a dealership environment
• Familiarity with high-volume service operations, ideally within a dealership setting
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
• Full UK driving licence, preferably with minimal points
• Living within a commutable distance to Cardiff or nearby area
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• A professional attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
