Internal Sales (Automation)

Redditch, Worcestershire - Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH)

£35,000 - £45,000 + Discretionary Bonus + Enhanced Pension + Hybrid Working + Holiday + Christmas Shutdown + Progression

Are you a technically minded engineer with experience in electrical, automation or industrial products looking to develop your career into technical sales and eventually a Business Development Manager position?

This is a great opportunity to join a global engineering manufacturer in a growing internal sales team, providing technical support to customers and external sales colleagues across a strong automation product portfolio.

The role is designed as a genuine development opportunity, with full product training and support from an experienced team. For the right person, there is a clear route from Internal Sales Engineer into External Sales and ultimately Business Development Manager, making this an ideal role for someone commercially minded who wants to build a long-term sales career.

The Role

• Handle technical and commercial customer enquiries
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions
• Prepare quotations and support the sales process
• Provide technical support across electrical and automation products
• Work closely with customers, external sales and product specialists
• Build product and industry knowledge with a view to progressing into external sales/BDM

The Person

• Technical background within electrical, automation or industrial engineering
• Good understanding of electrical/technical products
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Commercially minded with an interest in developing a sales career
• Organised, proactive and confident dealing with customers
• Keen to progress into an external sales / Business Development role
