Job Description:
Four Seasons Foods is a growing food manufacturer specialising in sweet and savoury sauces, fruit preparations, compotes, curds and fillings.
Following continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Quality Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day technical and quality requirements of our manufacturing site.
Reporting to the Managing Director and working alongside our Technical lead, you will ensure the site consistently meets BRCGS, legal, customer and internal food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day ownership and maintenance of the site Quality Management System (QMS).
- Maintain compliance with BRCGS Food Safety standards and ensure continuous audit readiness.
- Support and manage BRCGS, customer and third-party audits.
- Maintain HACCP, prerequisite programmes and food safety documentation.
- Manage internal audits, non-conformances, root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Manage customer complaints, traceability, mass balance and recall testing.
- Oversee allergen, foreign-body, hygiene, GMP and environmental monitoring controls.
- Manage specifications, supplier approval and technical documentation.
- Support NPD and new product launches from a technical and quality perspective.
- Conduct regular factory inspections and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to Production, NPD and Supply Chain.
- Promote and develop a strong food safety and quality culture across the business.
- Cross Fucntional Support when needed.
About You
We are looking for someone with strong Quality/Technical experience within food manufacturing, ideally with:
- Previous experience as a Quality Manager, Assistant Technical Manager, Quality Supervisor or similar.
- Strong practical knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety.
- Experience supporting or managing BRCGS/customer audits.
- Good knowledge of HACCP, food safety legislation and QMS.
- HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 or equivalent.
- Internal auditing experience.
- Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- A proactive, practical approach and confidence working directly with factory teams.
Experience within sauces, fruit preparations, preserves, bakery, confectionery, dairy or chilled/ambient food manufacturing would be advantageous.
