SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER (WITH BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT) - B2B MANUFACTURING

Our client is a well-established B2B manufacturer with a strong reputation for precision, quality, and personal service across the construction sectors. As a family-run business with a tight-knit team.

They're looking for a driven Sales Account Manager to combine business development with account management, hunting new opportunities while nurturing an existing customer base. This is a results-focused role where activity, pipeline growth, and commercial impact matter more than time spent at a desk.

Location: Full-time office based in Redhill, Surrey

AS SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Source and prospect new leads while collaborating on high-value tender opportunities to drive commercial growth
• Act as primary point of contact for existing accounts, conducting yearly reviews to ensure client expectations are exceeded
• Negotiate trade pricing and work with internal teams to create bespoke product ranges for new clients
• Respond promptly to customer enquiries, providing creative solutions to challenges and technical issues
• Maintain consistent outbound activity via phone and email to keep the sales pipeline moving

THE IDEAL SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER WILL HAVE:

• At least 2 years' experience in a sales role with a proven outbound element
• Commercial mindset with strong understanding of margin, opportunity, and relationship-driven growth
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a natural "people person" approach
• Resilience under pressure with the ability to handle objections and focus on solutions
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when interpreting briefs and creating bespoke quotes
