Technical Sales Engineer

Are you an engineer who enjoys solving problems, working with customers, and seeing the commercial impact of your technical expertise?

We're recruiting on behalf of a successful and expanding engineering business that is investing heavily in growth across the UK rail sector. Due to increased demand and a strong pipeline of long-term projects, they are looking to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer to support customers with technically complex applications and help drive future business growth.

The Role

Working closely with the Business Development Manager and internal engineering teams, you'll become a key technical contact for customers across the rail sector.

From interpreting drawings and specifications to developing quotations and identifying improvement opportunities, you'll play an important role in turning customer challenges into practical engineering solutions.

About You

You'll ideally have:

• A mechanical engineering or technical background
• Experience working with engineered products or assemblies
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical mindset
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage customers
• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing customer relationships
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
